I have over 25 years of teaching experience. I started out in the Fire Service and spent 25 years working for a Fire Department in a large industrial area. I began teaching while with the fire department and became involved in the Hazardous Materials Response Team. I then became Team Leader and ran the Team for about 10 years. I also worked on my days off for a private clean-up contractor dealing with chemical emergencies.
I have vast experience in chemical response and clean-up as well as chemical safety. I have continued to educate myself by taking chemistry and other hazardous materials classes. I have been teaching various Hazardous Materials classes such as the Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Regulation Class and the OSHA HAZWOPER classes for over 10 years.
